CICAT Dark Walk
Location: UAB Campus
Lighting designer Alberto Barberá Duelo will host a nighttime walk around the UAB Campus to reflect on the impacts of artificial light on human health and the environment.
This strictly human accessory to daily life and commercial activity is an often-neglected pollutant. The walk will incite conversation around darkness and the absence of light at night as a consequence of a real action and commitment to addressing this issue.
Alberto is a member of Urban-Centric Lighting Task Group an applied research group promoted by CICAT, the Spanish Lighting Industry Cluster, that explores the application of scientific evidence on the harmful effects of artificial light at night on human health and the environment.
